Abyssinian -
The
Abyssinian Cat is slender, shorthaired, medium-sized and comes in several different colors;
ruddy, red, blue, and fawn. Ruddy Abyssinians are the usual color.

The
American Bobtail is a powerfully built and is medium to large in size. It has a natural occurring short tail, and has above average
intelligence. It is known for it's devotion to family and is more
doglike than catlike in regards to their responsiveness.
American Curl Shorthair & Longhair -
Known for it's unusual ears, which are curled backward, the American Curl is a well-mannered cat that has
an energetic, affectionate, gentle personality. This breed comes in both
longhair and shorthair with varieties of many colors. American Shorthair - This
well known working cat is known for it's strength, agility, and endurance. It has a thick,
short coat that compliments it's medium-large body and comes in a variety of colors.
American Wirehair - This
breed is famous for it's dense, coarse coat that comes in many colors. This coat
sets it apart from other cat breeds. This keen, active cat is very active and loves
to investigate it's surroundings. Angora
(Turkish) - The Turkish Angora is a long, lithe cat with a silky, fine coat. One touch
erases any doubt of how this beautiful cat got its name. The Angora coat comes
in many colors, the most popular being white. Sapphire blue eyes complement
the silky fur. The Turkish Angora is not just a pretty face; the cat is
athletic and intelligent, sociable and affectionate. Angoradoll -
Combining the Turkish Angora (European
Style large and heavy boned) with the Ragdoll creates a friendly, more active
Ragdoll type. Angoradolls are fearless, under foot, on your lap, very friendly
cats, that are super dog-like pets. Angoradolls are especially healthy, heat
tolerant and low maintenance. They are the foundation of the original
Ragdoll. Rare and hard to get Angora adds friendliness and white color
often with fabulous blue, green, or odd eye colors. Angoradoll coats can be
rabbit soft, yet don't mat. |

Balinese - The
Balinese cat has ancestry from the famous Siamese cats. It's deep blue eyes are very similar to its ancestor. The cat is a strong, medium coated breed that appears silky smooth to the touch. It comes in a variety of pointed colors ranging from seal to
pointed colors & tortie points. The Balinese is an active, very affectionate, talkative, and inquisitive breed.
Bengal - A descendant from cross-breeding domestic shorthairs and Asian Leopard cats, the Bengal was developed to produce some of the characteristics of the Asian Leopard Cat. Most pet Bengals are wild only in looks, not in personality. It comes in a variety of colors and patterns including spotted and marbled. Birman - Also
known as the "Sacred Cat of Burma", has a long, silky coat that
generally does not mat. The Birman disposition is dog-like; they are
people cats that enjoy “helping” and being with you. They have
lovely blue eyes and white “mittens” on all four feet. Birmans generally
have soft voices. They come in the traditional colors of Blue, Seal,
Chocolate and Lilac points. Many breeders are now also working with
Red and Tortie points. Birmans also come in the Lynx point pattern in
the same colors. Bobcat Hybrid -
Bobcat Hybrids are rare animals with both domestic and wild features.
These highly intelligent and friendly cats have spotted or marbled coats in a
variety of colors such as bronze, chocolate, ebony, silver, or snow.
Tail length varies. Size ranges from 10 lbs. to 28 lbs. Fully
mature at 3 years. Very playful. Can be leash-trained. No
permits necessary. Bombay - An all black cat resembling a miniature panther, the Bombay is a strikingly beautiful, well balanced feline. It has copper-penny eyes, and a close lying short black coat with a high mirrored sheen that feels like velvet. It has a muscular, surprisingly heavy, medium sized body. The Bombay is a sweet, talkative, but demanding feline. It is a cross between a Burmese and a black American
Shorthair. The Bombay and Burmese closely resemble each other except in eye and coat color. British Shorthair - This
breed is compact in size and round all over. It's head, cheeks, paws and eyes are
all circular shaped. This cat has a dense, short coat that come in a variety of
colors. The most common is blue. Burmese - The
Burmese is a medium sized, sweet faced feline. It has a short, close
lying coat with a high shine and a muscular body that carries surprisingly
heavy weight for its size. A friendly, purring, lap sitter and bed
sleeper, the Burmese is demanding of attention and lots of petting. It
comes in four colors; Sable, Champagne, Platinum, and Blue and has beautiful
gold eyes. This feline is very loving and people oriented. |

California Spangled - Though the California Spangled Cat looks wild, it has no wild blood in its
ancestry. The cat is the result of a meticulous breeding program by Paul Casey. The California Spangled
Cat is a medium-sized, muscular breed that comes in nine coat colors, ranging from gold to blue. Affectionate and social, the California Spangled Cat makes an active, intelligent companion. Chantilly/Tiffany - Named after a famous roaring 20's theatre representing elegance, this
semi-foreign, semi-longhair low maintenance cat sheds little, is devoted and
loving, having a moderate activity level. Average size is 8 lbs.,
solid and tabby colours in black, blue, chocolate
and frost. Chartreux - This feline is a
robust, sweet-tempered cat with broad shoulders and is known for its dense, water-repellent, woolly blue coat. The coat color ranges in any shade from ash to
slate. They have brilliant orange eyes, and a smiling expression. The
Chartreux is a very quiet cat. Chausie - The Chausie is a large, statuesque, good natured domestic cat with the exotic look and beauty of the Jungle Cat. In Egypt the nickname for the Jungle Cat is 'Reed Cat', due to the fact that the Jungle Cat makes his habitat near reed beds and the wetlands of several regions from Africa, the Middle East and Southeast Asia. In the image of the Jungle Cat, Chausies have large tufted ears, a wild looking ticked coat and stripes mostly limited to their legs, tail and face. Their long legs are patterned with black bars, as is their 3/4 to full length tail. In keeping with the look of the Jungle Cat, the Chausie has three acceptable coat colors, brown ticked in shades ranging from
sandy to reddish brown, Black with Silver-tipping and Solid black. They are athletic, intelligent and are devoted companions by nature. Chausies are a TICA registered breed. Colorpoint Shorthair - The Colorpoint Shorthair is playful, highly interactive, and talkative breed. They are very social and devoted to their
family. They are similar to the Siamese in personality and body type. Their coats come in red point, cream point, lynx (tabby) point, and tortie point colors. Cornish Rex - This soft, wavy coated feline is like touching velvet. They are very active, intelligent and friendly. The Cornish Rex is a good
potential choice for some people who are allergic to cats. The Cornish Rex comes in a variety of colors. Cymric - This cat is
the long-haired version of the Manx. It is known
for it's round head and muzzle and tailless body. This short-legged feline has a
short, dense coat that comes in a rainbow of colors. This cat is a fun-loving cat
and makes a great companion. |

Desert Lynx - The Desert Lynx is a wonderful new breed to add to the list of Exotic cat hybrids. These cats are bred from the Bobcat to produce a wild looking large feline that people are able to own without a license or permit. Desert Lynx cats can weigh up to 25 lbs. for males and 15 lbs. for females. Their hair is short to medium length with ear tuffs and ruff. Desert Lynx have a short 3/4 length tail like their Bobcat ancestor. This breed can have 6 toes on all four feet, otherwise known as polydactyl. breed has a "pixie" look with large eyes and large low set ears. It has a medium body, and has a soft wavy coat, (similar to the Cornish Rex)
that feels very soft to touch. Its coat comes in a variety of colors. They
are very alert, playful and active. The Devon likes to venture
throughout its home and is very curious, not wanting to miss anything! They
are a good potential choice for some people who are allergic
to cats. |

Egyptian Mau - The Egyptian Mau is the only natural spotted breed of domestic cat. An extremely intelligent animal, the Mau places a great importance on family, both human and their own, and is fiercely loyal in their devotion to them. They are active, athletic and have an elegant body that is randomly spotted, banded legs and tail. They have expressive gooseberry green eyes, distinctive mascara lines, a worried expression on the face, and a graceful cheetah-like stride. The Mau comes in four colors: silver, bronze, smoke and black. The black Mau is not eligible for the show ring, but can be registered. Exotic Shorthair - This breed was the result of crossing an American Shorthair with a Persian. This sweet and charming cat is a docile, gentle feline with a soft voice. It is also known as the "Lazy Man's Persian" because it requires less grooming. They have a thick coat that comes in many
colors, and patterns. |

Havana Brown - Domestic
cats carrying the brown recessive gene were bred to Siamese - and
occasionally Russian Blues - to produce a chestnut brown cat the color of a
fine Havana cigar. These cats have a distinctive head type noted for a
muzzle shaped like a corncob. They are medium in size but
muscular. They demand human companionship. Highlander -
This breed is a domestic cat that is extremely intelligent with a unique look
and size. The striking big wild cat look is topped off with a devoted,
gentle, playful clown like personality. They get larger in size with males
weighing up to 20 lbs. The cat comes in long and short coat lengths and in
many colors and patterns. Perfect as a companion and gets along well with
other cats and dogs. Highland Lynx - The
Highland Lynx is a bobcat hybrid breed developed by crossing Desert Lynx
with Jungle Curls. These cats are bred to produce a wild looking large
feline that people are able to own without a license or permit.
Highland Lynx males usually weigh up to 20 lbs. They come in both short and
long hair. Frequently, they have extra toes. Highland Lynx are
recognized in Rare and Exotic Feline Registry. They are friendly and
outgoing. They make great pets. Himalayan - Similar to the Persian, the Himalayan has the stocky body type, long hair, and placid temperament. They have beautiful pointed color coats like that of a Siamese, coming in a variety of colors. Cream, seal, blue, chocolate are most common. Honey Bear - No

Japanese Bobtail - This cat has a pom-pom (bunny like) tail that distinguishes it from other breeds. The Japanese Bobtail comes in a variety of colors and no two tails are alike. Black and black color combinations are the most common. The Japanese Bobtail is
intelligent, active and friendly. Although not loud, they can be quite talkative, making various different sounds. Javanese
- The Longhaired Oriental, now known as the Javanese, was selectively bred from Oriental cats and long-coated cats of exceptional
Oriental type. Medium long on the body, and without undercoat, the coat of the Javanese cat is fine, with a silky texture. It flows over the body and forms a frill around the shoulders and chest. The cat has a full, plume like tail. Jungle Hybrids -
Jungle Cat Hybrids are a cross between a Jungle Cat and a domestic cat.
Jungle Cat hybrids come in a tawny color and a combination of stripped and/or
spotted giving them a very "wild look". They are affectionate and active
cats. Size varies with each cat. Hand and home raised kittens make
wonderful loyal pets if raised with love, affection and patience. They
get along with most other pets with a few obvious exceptions. Early
generation hybrids require a somewhat different diet then a domestic cat. |

Korat - An
imported, natural breed, rare even in its native Thailand, where paintings establish its
existence as early as 1350. Its single coat is short, glossy and fine, lying close to
the body. The Korat is all smooth, curved lines and is medium sized.
The back is carried in a curve. The male, usually larger than the female, must look powerful and
fit. The color is silver-blue all over, with no shading or tabby
markings. Eye color is preferably luminous green, although an amber
cast is acceptable. The eye color is not usually true until the cat is
mature at two to four years of age. |

LaPerm - All
LaPerm cats trace their pedigrees to "Curly", a female, discovered
at her home by the founder of the breed, Linda Koehl. The LaPerm, a
naturally occurring mutation, comes in both longhair and shorthair
varieties. This is a medium sized, very curly coated cat. The
gene causing the coat to curl is a dominant gene. LaPerms are
generally quiet voiced, but may be vocal when wanting attention. Being
a working cat on the farm, they are excellent hunters as well as gentle
companions. |

Maine Coon - Known as a working cat, this cat is a great hunter and was bred to endure harsh climates. They have broad chests, a long, rectangular body and square muzzles. This shaggy-coated breed comes in a variety of colors. They are a large cat, females being somewhat smaller than males, though still considerably larger than the average housecat. The Maine Coon has a great, easy-going disposition. Manx - This cat is known for it's round head, muzzle and tailless stocky body. The Manx has a short back and long hind legs that make them appear rabbit-like. It has a short, dense coat that comes in a rainbow of colors. They can be known as a “one person cat” or the “family cat.” When they bond with someone, it is difficult for many Manx to be happy in a different home. Munchkin - This cat has unusually short legs and comes in a variety of colors. Munchkins are very loving with sweet
personalities. They are a natural genetic mutation that God created and not man
made. Their quality of life is not hampered by this genetic mutation. They can do anything any other cat can do, but a lot cuter. They live normal healthy long lives and are sociable, affectionate cats. They make great companions. |

Nebelung
- Originating in northern Russia, this cat is a
longhaired cousin of the Russian Blue. Their coat is semi-long and
grooming once or twice a week is sufficient. The coat should have a
silvery tipping at the ends. The eyes should be green, preferably a
deep emerald green. They are sweet and gentle in nature with the
natural shyness common to the Russian Blue. They are an excellent companion
animal. Norwegian Forest Cat - This breed is a hardy cat that was developed in Northern Europe. These working cats have a dense coat, with a thick, wooly undercoat for protection. They are social and affectionate with almond shaped eyes and sweet expressions. They are a very slow-maturing breed, taking a full five years to reach their full size and
development. They require some grooming to maintain their coats, as their full undercoats can mat. |

Ocicat - This cat mimics the look of a small Ocelot. The Ocicat was originally created by combining the Siamese, Abyssinian, and American Shorthair. They are typically large and muscular. Their coat pattern features thumbprint shaped spots. Ocicats usually come in tawny, cinnamon and chocolate. There are 12 acceptable
colors. They are intelligent, devoted, and very sociable getting along well with people, dogs and other cats Oriental Longhair
- Like the other Oriental breeds, they are active, talkative and have a people-oriented temperament. They have a slender body and come in a variety of solid and tabby colors, similar to the Oriental Shorthair. Oriental Shorthair - The Oriental Shorthairs have long, fine-boned legs and tail, tubular body, wedge-shaped head and large ears. They come in a variety of colors and patterns, including solid, tabby, and bicolor. Like the Siamese they are an outgoing, people-oriented breed. They are energetic, playful, acrobatic and talkative. |

Persian - This feline has large eyes that are round in shape and set wide apart. It's long, dense coat compliments it's well balanced body and appearance. The Persian comes in a variety of solid, parti, and shaded colors. Persians with the colorpoint pattern are usually called Himalayans. The Persian is a docile, gentle, affectionate cat. Their long hair mats easily and grooming is necessary. Pixie-Bob - The Pixie-Bob is an intelligent, devoted and respectful cat. They have a striking look with lynx tipped ears, heavy brow and bobbed-tail. Muscular and heavy-boned they may remind you of the North American Bobcat but smaller in size and domesticated. The tail in general can be up to 6 inches in length, straight over knotted is desirable. |

Ragamuffin - The overall impression of the
Ragamuffin should be one of sweetness and robust health both loving and affectionate, reaching maturity at about four years of age. The
Ragamuffin females are generally smaller than males, both being firm, muscular, and heavy with a tendency toward a fatty pad on the lower abdomen. The cat is most striking with a white symmetrical blaze or star, mitts and tipped tail set against darker fur. Aside from size and docile nature, there are no extremes in this cat. Ragdoll - This big boned, broad-chested
breed will captivate you with their deep blue eyes. It's semi long, thick coat comes in a variety of point colors and patterns. They have very docile and placid temperaments. It is one of the most gentle and easy-going of all cat breeds. This feline is very affectionate and friendly to its family. Russian Blue - This
breed was established in 1907. Colors range from a dark blue-gray
to a very light almost lavender tone. Kittens often have a ring on
their tails which fade with maturity. Their eyes take on various shades
of green - anywhere from a light apple green to the deep emerald or jade
hues. Calm, quiet, clean and affectionate, the Russian Blue is an
ideal pet even for the apartment dweller. |

Savannah
- A cross resulting from the breeding of an African Serval and a domestic cat has
recently resulted in the replication of the striking coat pattern and body structure of the
Serval. Savannahs are smaller (approximately 25 pounds) and more manageable than
Servals, but are the largest hybrid feline available today. Scottish Fold - A litter of otherwise normal kittens born on a farm in Scotland contained the first Scottish Fold in 1961. The Scottish Fold is a loving, placid and companionable cat which loves both humans and other pets. Its ears are folded forward and down, and they have large round eyes. The short, dense coat is kept in good condition with the minimum of brushing and combing, and the folded ears are kept immaculate by gently cleaning inside the folds. Selkirk Rex - The Selkirk Rex is the result of a dominant, spontaneous mutation that causes each hair to have a gentle wave or curl giving the coat a soft feel. This is a medium to large cat with heavy boning that gives the cat surprising weight and an impression of power. The Selkirk Rex is an active cat with a sweet and endearing personality. Serval - The
Serval adult males stand up to 20 inches at the shoulders and weigh around 40 pounds. The
Serval is a secretive medium-sized cat, constantly searching for prey.
Although not extremely powerful, the Serval takes advantage of its quickness
and body weight. Servals are playful, inquisitive, intelligent, and affectionate although sometimes aloof.
Raised properly, they can be very affectionate and sociable. The more attention and affection you give him, the closer your bond will be. Siamese - This sociable breed is from an old region of the world, in an area called
Siam. The show Siamese has a very long, slender body type, and a long,
wedge-shaped head with big ears. The Siamese is a strong, short-coated
breed with a painted on coat that is silky to the touch. It comes in a variety
of pointed colors. They are vocal, demanding, lively, and affectionate. Siberian Cat - This large muscular cat is quite strong. Their coats come in the traditional assortment of colors and is triple thick, being very water-resistant, with a full ruff that gets thicker in the winter months. The Siberians are unique in that they have a proven much lower amount of the Fel-D protein in their salvia. With this lower amount of protein, many people with allergies can live with this breed. Siberian cats are loyal, affectionate, playful and sweetly expressive. Singapura -
The Singapura is a shorthaired cat that has large
eyes and an unusual color coat of warm beige, brown-ticked. Although small,
they are muscular cats. They have soft voices and like being near their
family. They are gentle, outgoing, good-natured, and mischievous at times. Snowshoe
- The Snowshoe or Silver Laces is a rare cat. It combines a stocky build of the American Shorthair with the body length of the Siamese, and is Himalayan, or Siamese in
coloring, but with the white paws which are also found in the Birman. The Snowshoe is a robust and lively cat that is highly intelligent and loving and like the Siamese, enjoys human company. Its coat needs the minimum of grooming, and the white paws may be kept immaculate by dusting with grooming powder from time to time to prevent
discoloration. It is of medium size and well muscled with a short fine close-lying coat, that comes under any recognized points
color. Somali - This cat is sometimes referred to as a longhaired Abyssinian. They have a
long, tick colored coat that covers it's well-balanced body with a tail like a
fox. Colors most commonly available are blue, fawn, red (sorrel), and ruddy
colors. This cat is very active and playful. Somali's are extroverted
inquisitive, affectionate and people-oriented. Sphynx - The result of a spontaneous mutation, this hairless cat is covered by a soft down. The Sphynx is an affectionate, happy companion cat. They are sociable, alert, and very curious. Their skin feels warm and soft to the touch and they make a good bed buddy on cold
nights. They are not hypoallergenic, despite the lack of hair. |

Their coat comes in a unique pattern known as "mink". The coat is pointed like the Siamese, but the body comes in a variety of different shades. This cat is a very active, playful, people-oriented breed that is alert to
its surroundings. Turkish Angoras
- The Turkish Angora is a long, lithe cat with a silky, fine

Turkish Van
- The Turkish Van is a semi-longhaired cat distinguished by its unusual color pattern. The cat is white except for a colored tail and color on the head. Some have small body color spots. They have blue, gold, or odd-eyes. Vans are independent, but
affectionate. They have a tendency to bond with one or two people in a
family. They are social and stay active as they get older. |
